Unseenlabs Successfully Launches BRO-23 and BRO-32 on SpaceX’s Transporter-18 Mission
Unseenlabs has successfully launched BRO-23, a Gen 1 nanosatellite, and BRO-32, a Gen 2 microsatellite. Both satellites lifted off on October 1, 2026 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 as part of the Transporter-18 rideshare mission from the Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA.
Payload integration was managed by Exolaunch.
This joint launch marks a concrete step in Unseenlabs’ strategy to deploy complementary satellite generations within the same space-based radio frequency detection constellation.
A constellation built on complementary capabilities
Since the launch of BRO-1 in 2019, Unseenlabs has developed its constellation around an exclusive monosatellite approach. Each satellite is designed to operate independently to detect, geolocate and characterize radio frequency signals from space.
BRO-23 and BRO-32 reflect the continued evolution of this strategy. Gen 2 is not intended to replace Gen 1. The two generations provide complementary capabilities and will continue to be deployed within the same constellation.
This approach allows Unseenlabs to strengthen the maritime capabilities developed over several years while progressively expanding the range of signals, environments and activities that can be monitored.
BRO-23 strengthens proven maritime RF detection capabilities
BRO-23 joins Unseenlabs’ Gen 1 satellites, which are dedicated to detecting RF emissions from vessels across large maritime areas.
Once its in-orbit commissioning is complete, BRO-23 will contribute to the detection, geolocation and characterization of emitting vessels, including ships that are not transmitting through cooperative tracking systems such as AIS.
These capabilities support maritime authorities and organizations seeking a more complete understanding of activity at sea, including illegal fishing, deceptive shipping practices and operations near critical maritime infrastructure.

BRO-32 broadens the range of detectable RF signals
BRO-32 is a Gen 2 microsatellite designed to detect a broader range of RF signals across the L, S, C and X bands.
This expanded frequency coverage will allow Unseenlabs to detect, identify, geolocate and characterize a wider variety of RF emitters. It strengthens the company’s historical maritime capabilities while supporting additional applications across maritime, land and space environments.
BRO-32 will therefore contribute to a broader understanding of RF activity, including the monitoring of radar and communications emitters.

Continuing to expand from strong maritime foundations
By launching BRO-23 and BRO-32 together, Unseenlabs is reinforcing the maritime capabilities at the foundation of its constellation while expanding space-based RF detection toward broader multi-domain applications.
Both generations will continue to be deployed as Unseenlabs expands its coverage, capabilities and ability to support customers facing increasingly complex operational environments.
