Different Paths, Shared Ambition
At Unseenlabs, the journeys of our team members also reflect the evolution of our company: diverse expertise, different backgrounds, and the same drive to contribute to high-impact projects. The feminization of our professions and women’s access to leadership positions are important topics for us, particularly in a technology and space sector that remains predominantly male.
From Engineering to Product Strategy
Today, we meet Nivedita, Director of Marketing and Product Management at Unseenlabs. With a background spanning engineering, satellite technologies, digital television, and product marketing, she now brings her experience to the structuring of our offering and the promotion of our solutions to our clients.
Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your background?
I’m an engineer by training, specializing in signal processing, and a graduate of IMT Atlantique. I also earned a Master of Science in Spacecraft Technology and Satellite Communications from University College London (UCL).
I began my career as a software developer in a small company specializing in the implementation of error-correcting codes. I then moved into product management roles in the digital television sector, first at Thales Broadcast & Multimedia, working on IPTV service platforms, and later at Envivio, focusing on video encoding solutions.
In 2010, I joined Broadpeak as Vice President of Marketing. I had the opportunity to help guide the company through a period of rapid growth, from its early days as a startup to its development into an international SME with over 300 employees.
In September 2025, I joined Unseenlabs, first as a Product Manager, before moving into the role of Product Marketing Director.
What are your responsibilities at Unseenlabs?
My role involves structuring our product offering, starting with our clients’ challenges to define the most suitable solutions. I also work on product pricing, as well as on creating tools to better position our products and support their marketing.
More broadly, the product marketing team contributes to the creation of a wide range of materials: brochures, website articles, use case presentations, sales support content, and more. A significant part of my role, therefore, involves coordinating this content creation, prioritizing the most useful materials, and ensuring that they effectively meet the needs of the sales teams.
Why did you choose to join the Unseen adventure?
After more than twenty years in the digital television industry, I wanted to explore a new field and apply my experience to a different sector.
I also wanted to join a company whose work has real meaning. Unseenlabs’ approach, at the intersection of space, data, and maritime challenges, fully aligned with that desire.
Finally, I wanted to return to a more hands-on role, get back to the nitty-gritty, and not just focus on management.
What motivates you in your day-to-day work, or what makes you most proud here?
What motivates me is understanding complex topics and figuring out the best way to make them accessible and useful for our clients.
I also enjoy drawing on my past experience to propose tools, methods, or processes that help make teams more effective as a whole.
Finally, successfully building a product roadmap by bridging the gap between sales teams, market needs, and development teams is a real source of satisfaction. It is precisely in this ability to connect expertise and transform needs into concrete solutions that I find great meaning.
